Founded in 1960, Allegheny Valley School operates residential and therapeutic programs throughout Pennsylvania for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  Most of our residents also have multiple physical disabilities, medical complications and some have behavior management needs.  We operate more than 125 facilities and programs in western, central and eastern Pennsylvania and provide services to more than 900 individuals ranging in age from 14 to 90.  Our programs provide individuals with opportunities and choices and help them to function at their fullest potential and as independently as possible.
